Tuesday, June 8th Meeting

The next Aging & Disability Network meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 8, 2010 2-3:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Ballston Spa, 202 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa. Link to the location is here.

This month our presenter will be Maurice Padula, Senior Consumer Frauds Representative, Bureau of Consumer Frauds and Protection, Office of New York State Attorney General.

I would like to thank St. Edward the Confessor Church for hosting last month’s meeting as well as the panel of presenters including Nicholas Schrader, Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist, CGP, Schrader & Company, Inc., Karen Thayer, Executive Director, Southern Adirondack Independent Living Center, Karl Francis, Community Outreach Advocate, Capital District Center for Independence, Inc., and Pamela Schorr, OTR, Occupational Therapist, Weston Paxxon Rehab Services. Meeting minutes will follow.

Note that our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 2-3:30 p.m. at Saratoga United Methodist Church. We will be hearing from a panel of presenters who will be discussing local resources and assistive technology for people with a hearing impairment.
