Facebook Page

Dear Aging & Disability Network Members,

I received an email from a member asking me to post a blog about an upcoming event their company was holding. Unfortunately, as I told this member, I could not post the event on the blog.

As I promised in the initial blog entry to you, this blog was created strictly for updates on the Aging & Disability monthly meetings and that no spam emails or other information would be posted. Additionally, if every member sent me their upcoming events I might not have much time to do anything else.

However, I do realize that there are a lot of wonderful events thrown each year by your organizations. Therefore, I have created an Aging & Disability Facebook page where you can post your updates. Simply go to http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=4559863&id=528854150#!/pages/Aging-Disability-Network/129227700446382?v=wall&ref=ts, click “like this”, and you can begin posting events on the wall. Posting your events on Facebook will prevent member emailboxes from being inundated and members can go on Facebook whenever they chose.

This can also serve as a great way for everyone to see who will be at the upcoming meetings. I have created an “events” box on the left hand side of the page. This box will only show the Aging and Disability Network meetings. You can click on the event and hit RSVP. Please do not email me to post your events in the event box. Your events can be posted on the wall itself.

I realize that this post does not contain meeting information and for that I apologize. Hopefully you’ll let this one slide.

Sincerely,
Maureen Hopkins
