The next Aging & Disability Network meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 12, 2010 2-3:30 p.m. at Saratoga United Methodist Church, 175 5th Avenue, Saratoga Springs. A link to the location is here.

October's presenter will be Rory Fluman, MS, OTR, CDRS, of Capital Region Older Driver Assistance Network who will be presenting on the Older Driver & Pedestrian Safety Project. Mr. Fluman's project includes a coalition of aging and driving professionals who have a common goal of community public safety and preserving dignity for those individuals transitioning from driving to non-driving status.
I would like to thank Malta Community Center for hosting last month’s meeting as well as the panel of presenters including Chris Stegel of IPRO, Cindi Lisuzzo of Saratoga Hospital, Stephen Wright of Ellis Hospital and Amy Snyder of NY Connects. Meeting minutes will follow.
Note that our next meeting will be held on November 9, 2010 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park. We will be hearing from a panel of presenters on the topic of Understanding Dementia. Panelists will include: Diane VanDusen of Eddy Alzheimer's Services, Karen Britt of Alzheimer's Association of Northeastern NY, and Lucy Phelps of VA Hospital.
