Tuesday, May 10, 2011 Meeting

Greetings!
 
The next Aging & Disability Network meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 10, 2011 2-3:30 p.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park. Please extend the invitation to others you think would be interested in participating. Please let me know if you will be attending at sosdevelopment@nycap.rr.com as we anticipate there will be a large turnout for this very informative presentation.
 
May's presentation topic will be a Mental Health Awareness Panel.  Panelists will include:
 
·         Amber Christian Osterhout, Saratoga County Citizens Committee for Mental Health Board Member, and mental health advocate  has been promoting understanding through her award winning website and blog Gaining Insight
·         Marge Zak, Saratoga NAMI
·         Brenda Quinn, Director of Community Outreach, Four Winds
 
I would like to thank Saratoga United Methodist Church for hosting last month’s meeting as well as Beth Smith-Boivin, Director of the Alzheimer's/Dementia Resource Program at the Alzheimer's Center at Albany Medical Center who presented on Neurological Disorders 101.

Note that our next meeting will be held on June 14, 2011 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. at Malta Community Center, 1 Bayberry Drive, Ballston Spa. We are planning our first ever Speed Networking event, which will accelerate your opportunity to connect with numerous Aging & Disability Network members!  Specific details will be discussed at this month's meeting as well as posted to the blog closer to the event.
