This month's presentation will be a general overview of Medicaid presented by Saratoga County Department of Social Services staff members, Kathy Thompson and Patty McConkey. Their presentation will include the topics of eligibility, spend-downs, and questions will be gladly taken.
I would like to thank St. Edward the Confessor Church for hosting last month’s meeting as well as Bill Beregenzer, Health Insurance Counselor Assistance Program (HICAP) volunteer with the Saratoga County Office for the Aging for presenting on Medicare. Meeting minutes to follow.
Note that our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. at Saratoga United Methodist Church, 175 5th Avenue, Saratoga Springs. Dr. Joyce Peabody, Saratoga Hospital vice president and chief medical officer, will be speaking about the proposed Saratoga Hospital Community Health Center.
