Meeting: Tuesday,February 11, 2014

The next Aging & Disability Network meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 11, 2014 2-3:30 p.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park.  Please let me know if you will be attending at sosdevelopment@nycap.rr.com. Feel free to extend the invitation to others you think would be interested in participating.

This month we will be joined by Beth Tuttle, RN, CCH, MA who will present on the Use of Complementary Medicine for Those Under our Care.  The discussion will include the use of such common remedies as:

• Rescue Remedy
• Essential oils
• Cold and hot therapy
• Homeopathic remedies
• Herbal teas
• Certain vitamins

Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2013 at Malta Community Center, 1 Bayberry Drive, Malta. Our presenters will include Reed Lehan and Keith Kirchhoff from Saratoga County Department of Social Services (DSS) - Adult Protective Services.   They will provide an overview of the services DSS can and cannot provide, types of calls they receive, and guardianships.

 

Please remember that in the event of inclement weather, the Aging & Disability Network will follow the cancellation schedule for the Saratoga County Senior Meal Delivery; if the meal delivery is cancelled, then our meeting will also be cancelled. Cancellations will be posted on most major news networks.
