The
next meeting of the Aging & Disability Network will be April 14 at 2pm at
the Saratoga Methodist Church. The presenter will be Rick Iannello from
the Albany Guardian Society. He will be speaking about the history of the
Society as well as a summary of the programs and services they offer.
In addition, the
Albany Guardian Society in collaboration with the Capital Region Caregiver
Coalition is sponsoring a Caregiver Resource Day -"Tools for Caregivers:
Resources You Can Use When a Senior Relies on You. The day will
include various exhibitors and workshops. The date of this conference is
Saturday April 18th at Grace Fellowship Church, 20 Delatour Rd, Watervliet from
8am until noon. Registration is required even though the event is
FREE. Call the Albany Guardian Society at 269-3976 to register by April
10th.
The May 12th meeting
will be held at St. Edward's Church in Clifton Park. The speaker will be
Shirley Dumont from SAIL and the topic will be Disability Awareness for
Professionals.
