Aging and Disability Network Meeting Minutes 12/8/15

Present: Krissy Goodspeed (Interim Health Care), Ricard Amico (Community Hospice), Josina Warnow (SAIL), Maria Geizer (Home Instead Senior Care), Drue Barton (Guildcare), Elisa Miczek (Home Health Care Partners), Janice Reda (Saratoga Springs Senior Center), Karley V (Saratoga Springs Senior Center), Veronica Lestage (VNSNY CHOICE/ Visiting Nurses), Kym Hance (Alzheimer’s Association),  Sharon Emerson (St. Peter’s CHOICES), Kim Swire (St. Peter’s CHOICES), Ellen Egger- Aimone (Private Care Manager/Fresenius Dialysis), Denise DiNoto (Consumer Directed Choices), Mary Rickard (Saratoga County OFA), Caitlyn Morton (Shelters of Saratoga), Cindy Harrington (Shelters of Saratoga).

Attendees introduced themselves.

This was a network meeting for all to discuss any programs coming up that folks may want to get the word out about. It was also time to say good bye to our good friend, Kim Swire, who is retiring from the CHOICES program. Kim introduced us to the social worker who will be replacing her, Sharon Emerson, and we were able to give her all of our good wishes.

The next meeting of the Aging and Disability Network will be held on Tuesday January 12^th from 2pm – 330pm, at the Saratoga Springs United Methodist Church, 175 Fifth Avenue, Saratoga Springs. Priscilla Wheeler from Saratoga County Public Health will be speaking about what Public Health’s Role is in the community.
